Warm-up Wiggles (5 minutes)
Let's wake up our bodies! Follow me:
- March like a brave explorer.
- Reach up high like you're grabbing a star.
- Touch your toes like you're picking up a shiny rock.
- Do 5 big jumping jacks!
- Wiggle your whole body like a wiggly worm!
Mountain Climbing! (Climb Over - 10 minutes)
Oh no! Look! We have some soft 'mountains' (pillows, cushions, soft blocks) in our path! We need to climb over them carefully. Let's practice:
- Place hands on the 'mountain'.
- Lift one leg over.
- Lift the other leg over.
- Land softly on your feet.
Let's try climbing over our pillow mountains! Wow, you're a great climber!
River Jumping! (Jump Over - 10 minutes)
Now we've reached a 'river' (pool noodles, rolled towels, low cones lined up)! We need to jump over it so we don't get wet! Let's practice jumping:
- Stand close to the 'river'.
- Bend your knees a little.
- Swing your arms back.
- Jump forward over the river with both feet at the same time!
- Land softly on your feet, bending your knees.
Let's try jumping over the noodle river! Ribbit, Ribbit! You jump like a super frog!
Adventure Course! (5 minutes)
Let's put it all together! Can you climb over the mountain and then jump over the river? Let's go on our adventure course!
Cool-Down Stretches (5 minutes)
Phew, what an adventure! Let's cool down our explorer bodies.
- Reach up tall like a tree.
- Slowly bend down and try to touch your toes, like a sleepy bear.
- Sit down and stretch your legs out, reaching for your feet.
- Take 3 deep, slow breaths like you're smelling a flower and blowing out a candle.
