Let's Play with Words and Dice!
Today, we're going on a spelling adventure using dice! Isn't that exciting? Dice aren't just for games; they can help us learn our words too!
Activity 1: Roll and Write
- Look at your list of words. Each word has a number next to it, from 1 to 6.
- Roll one die. What number did you get?
- Find the word on your list that matches the number you rolled.
- Say the word out loud. Let's sound it out together!
- Now, carefully write that word on your paper. You can use a pencil or your favorite crayon!
- Roll the die again and repeat! Let's see how many words we can write.
Activity 2 (Optional): Write it Many Times!
- Use the same word list (numbered 1-6).
- Roll one die. Let's say you roll a 4. Find word number 4 on your list.
- Now, write that word FOUR times on your paper!
- Roll again! If you roll a 2, find word number 2 and write it two times.
Wrap Up:
Wow! Look at all the words you wrote! You did an amazing job using the dice to help you practice spelling. Can you read some of the words you wrote back to me? High five!
Remember, practicing spelling can be lots of fun, especially when we use cool things like dice!
