Roblox Robux Roundup: Mastering Carrying in Addition!

Let's learn how to add big numbers like counting stacks of Robux!

Getting Ready (Setup)

Imagine we have two piles of Robux we earned from playing different Roblox games. We want to know how many we have in total!

  • Pile 1: 27 Robux (From 'Adopt Me!')
  • Pile 2: 15 Robux (From 'Brookhaven')

We need to add 27 + 15.

Step 1: Stacking Our Robux (Place Value)

Just like in Roblox where items stack, we stack our numbers neatly. Write the problem vertically, lining up the ones and tens places:

27
+ 15
----

Think of the right column (7 and 5) as single Robux coins (Ones place). Think of the left column (2 and 1) as stacks of 10 Robux (Tens place).

Step 2: Adding the Single Robux (Ones Place)

Let's add the single Robux first: 7 + 5.

Count them: 7... 8, 9, 10, 11, 12. We have 12 single Robux!

Step 3: The Big Rule - Trading Up! (Carrying)

Uh oh! We can't put '12' in the ones place answer spot. In Roblox (and math!), when you get 10 single Robux, you trade them for one stack of 10!

So, from our 12 single Robux:

  • We keep the 2 single Robux in the ones place answer.
  • We take the 10 single Robux and trade them for 1 stack of 10.
  • We 'carry' that 1 stack over to the top of the tens place column.

Write a small '1' above the 2 in the tens column, and write the '2' below the ones column:

1
27
+ 15
----
  2

Step 4: Adding the Stacks of 10 Robux (Tens Place)

Now, add all the stacks of 10 Robux in the tens column, including the one we carried over!

1 (carried) + 2 (from 27) + 1 (from 15) = 4 stacks of 10.

Write the '4' in the tens place answer spot:

1
27
+ 15
----
42

Step 5: Victory! Total Robux!

We did it! 27 + 15 = 42. We have a total of 42 Robux!

Practice Time: More Robux Challenges!

Let's try a few more:

  • 38 + 24 (Robux from 'Bloxburg' and 'Tower of Hell')
  • 45 + 37 (Robux from 'Royale High' and 'Piggy')
  • 19 + 62 (Robux from two different Obbys)

Remember the steps: Stack, Add Ones, Carry if needed (trade 10 ones for 1 ten), Add Tens!

Wrap-up

Great job becoming a Robux adding Master! You learned that when the ones add up to 10 or more, you carry the group of ten over to the tens place, just like trading up items or currency in Roblox. Keep practicing, and you'll be adding huge numbers in no time!
