Objective

By the end of this lesson, you will be able to improve your spelling skills while having fun with words related to Fortnite and Minecraft.

Materials and Prep

• Paper and pencil
• Access to a computer or tablet for online activities
• Prior knowledge of basic spelling rules

Activities

1. Word Search: Create a word search puzzle using vocabulary words from Fortnite and Minecraft. Include words like "battle royale," "crafting," "pickaxe," "diamond," etc. Solve the word search puzzle and circle the words as you find them.

2. Spelling Bee: Choose ten challenging words related to Fortnite and Minecraft. Practice spelling them aloud, and then have a spelling bee competition with a family member or friend. Take turns giving each other words to spell correctly.

3. Writing Prompts: Write a short story or create a dialogue between Fortnite and Minecraft characters. Use at least five spelling words from the spelling bee in your writing. Be creative and have fun!
