Objective

Materials and Prep
- A set of blank puzzle pieces (can be made from cardboard or paper)
- Coloring materials (crayons, markers, or colored pencils)
- Scissors
Before starting the lesson, make sure the puzzle pieces are cut out and ready for coloring.
Activities
- Introduce the concept of puzzles and explain that they are like a picture that is divided into pieces.
- Show the blank puzzle pieces to the student and explain that they will be creating their own puzzle.
- Encourage the student to use their imagination and creativity to draw a picture on each puzzle piece using the coloring materials.
- Once the puzzle pieces are colored, help the student cut them out along the lines.
- Mix up the puzzle pieces and ask the student to solve the puzzle by putting the pieces back together to recreate the picture.
- Repeat the activity multiple times with different puzzle designs.
