Get Ready, Super Spy Finley! (Warm-up - 5 minutes)

Hello, Agent Finley! Today you have a TOP SECRET mission: to find and use some very important "Super Sight Words"! These words are like secret codes that help us read and write amazing stories.

Let's pick 3-5 sight words for today's mission. We can write them big on our whiteboard. How about: the, a, is, go, see? (Teacher: Write these words clearly on the large paper/whiteboard. Say each word clearly and have Finley repeat.)

Mission 1: Sight Word Scavenger Hunt! (Activity 1 - 10-15 minutes)

Okay, Agent Finley, your first mission is a Scavenger Hunt!

1. I've written our Super Sight Words on these small cards (Teacher: Show index cards with one target word on each).
2. I'm going to hide them around the room while you close your eyes and count to ten. No peeking!
3. When I say "GO!", your mission is to find all the hidden sight word cards.
4. Each time you find a card, read the word out loud! If you get stuck, I'm your mission support and can help.
5. Optional: We can use a timer to make it a race against the clock!

(Teacher: Hide the cards in fairly obvious places. After Finley finds them all, review them together.) Great job, Super Spy! You found all the words!

Mission 2: Build-a-Word or Sculpt-a-Word! (Activity 2 - 15 minutes)

Agent Finley, for your next mission, you get to be creative! Choose one of our Super Sight Words.

Your options are:

• Build-a-Word: Use your building blocks to build the shape of the letters in the word! For example, you can make a tall tower for 't', a hoop for 'o'.
• Sculpt-a-Word: Use playdough to roll out and form the letters of the word.

(Teacher: Provide blocks or playdough. Help Finley choose a word and get started. Encourage Finley to say the word and the letters as they build/sculpt. Repeat with another word if time and interest allow.)

Mission 3: Super Sight Word Story Time! (Application & Creativity - 10 minutes)

Alright, Agent Finley, for your final mission today, let's use our Super Sight Words to tell a mini-story or make some silly sentences!

I'll start, or you can! Let's try to use at least two of our Super Sight Words. For example: "I see a cat."

What can you come up with? (Teacher: Encourage Finley to make up sentences. Write them down if Finley likes. You can also take turns. Keep it light and fun.)

You can also look for our Super Sight Words in one of your favorite picture books! Let's see how many we can spot. (Teacher: Briefly scan a page or two of a familiar book together.)
