Activities
- Turn off the lights in a room and close the curtains to make it as dark as possible.
- Place a white sheet or use a white wall as a background.
- Give the toddler the flashlight and show them how to turn it on and off.
- Encourage the toddler to shine the flashlight onto the white sheet or wall.
- Explain to the toddler that the light from the flashlight is called "Himing".
- Ask the toddler to move the flashlight around and observe how the Himing creates different shapes and shadows on the sheet or wall.
- Encourage the toddler to experiment with different movements and angles of the flashlight to create interesting patterns.
- Discuss with the toddler how Himing is a type of light and how light can help us see things in the dark.
