Objective
By the end of this lesson, you will be able to read and understand simple sentences related to Minecraft.
Materials and Prep
- Paper and pencil
- Minecraft-themed flashcards (you can create your own by printing pictures of Minecraft characters and objects)
Activities
- Introduction to Minecraft Vocabulary: Show the student the Minecraft-themed flashcards and explain what each character or object is called. Practice saying the words together.
- Matching Game: Lay out the flashcards facedown on a table. Take turns flipping two cards at a time to find a match. When a match is found, read the word aloud and explain what it represents in the Minecraft world.
- Create Sentences: Using the flashcards, ask the student to choose a few cards and arrange them to create a sentence. Encourage them to read the sentence out loud and explain what it means.
- Write and Illustrate: Give the student a piece of paper and ask them to choose a sentence they created. Have them write the sentence and draw a picture to illustrate it.
