Show the selection of minerals to the student and explain that these are different types of minerals found in the Earth.
Give the student a magnifying glass and ask them to choose one mineral to observe closely. Encourage them to describe what they see - the color, texture, shape, and any other unique features.
Ask the student to write a short description of the mineral they observed. They should include details about its appearance and any interesting characteristics.
Have the student share their written description with you or a family member. Discuss the similarities and differences between the minerals they observed.
