Activities
- Introduction to the Earth: Show the Montessori globe or world map to the student and explain that the Earth is where we live. Point out the different continents and oceans.
- Exploring Weather: Show the pictures or images of different types of weather (sunny, rainy, snowy, windy) and discuss each one. Ask the student to describe how they feel and what they can do during each type of weather.
- Hands-on Exploration: Set up the small containers with water, sand, and rocks. Let the student touch and explore each material, discussing their properties and how they relate to the Earth.
- Planting Seeds: Give the student a small plant or seeds and guide them in planting it in a pot or garden. Explain how plants grow from seeds and need soil, water, and sunlight to survive.
- Art Activity: Provide art supplies and ask the student to draw or color their favorite part of the Earth or something related to nature. Encourage creativity and imagination.
