Objective

Materials and Prep

  • Mario-themed worksheets (created or printed)
  • Basic knowledge of addition, subtraction, multiplication, and division

Activities

  1. Activity 1: Mario Math Challenge

    Create or print out Mario-themed worksheets with arithmetic problems. Include addition, subtraction, multiplication, and division questions. Solve each problem and write down your answers. Try to complete as many worksheets as you can within a given time limit. Challenge yourself to beat your previous record!

  2. Activity 2: Mario Coin Counting

    Imagine you are playing a Mario game and collecting coins. Create a list of different numbers representing the number of coins you collect in each level. Practice adding up the total number of coins you have collected by using addition. You can also try subtracting the coins you spent in the game. Keep track of your total coin count!

  3. Activity 3: Mario Power-Up Multiplication

    Think about Mario's power-ups, such as mushrooms that make him grow bigger. Create a multiplication table using numbers related to these power-ups. For example, if a mushroom doubles Mario's size, multiply the number of mushrooms by 2 to find out how tall he becomes. Use your multiplication skills to solve different scenarios and see how Mario's size changes!
