Activities
- Create a Native American Holiday Card
- Research Native American Holidays
Ask the student to choose a Native American holiday they are interested in, such as Thanksgiving or Powwow. Provide them with construction paper, markers or crayons, scissors, and glue. Instruct them to create a holiday card that showcases the chosen holiday. Encourage them to include drawings or symbols that represent the holiday.
Guide the student to research and learn about different Native American holidays. They can use the internet or books to gather information. Encourage them to find out the history, traditions, and significance of each holiday. They can take notes or create a simple poster to present their findings.
