By the end of this lesson, you will be able to identify and understand key elements of the Star Wars: Empire Strikes Back story.

Materials and Prep

  • Star Wars: Empire Strikes Back book or movie
  • Paper and crayons/markers

Activities

  1. Watch or read Star Wars: Empire Strikes Back together.

    Discuss the main characters, setting, and plot of the story.

  2. Ask the student to draw their favorite character from the story.

    Encourage them to use colors that represent the character's personality or role.

  3. Have the student describe their drawing, using simple sentences.

    Ask questions like "Who is your character?" and "What does your character do in the story?"
