Next, search for a short article or passage about Fortnite online. You can use child-friendly websites or blogs that provide information about the game. Read the passage together, taking turns reading aloud.
After reading, ask your child comprehension questions to check their understanding. For example:
- What is Fortnite about?
- Who are the main characters in Fortnite?
- What are some popular features or game modes in Fortnite?
Encourage your child to answer in complete sentences.
As a fun activity, ask your child to draw a picture related to Fortnite. It could be their favorite character, a scene from the game, or anything else they find interesting. They can use the paper and pencil for this activity.
Finally, have your child write a short paragraph describing their drawing. They can use descriptive words and sentences to explain what they drew and why. If they need help, you can provide sentence starters or prompts.
