Activities
Start by brainstorming with your student about different words related to rocks. Write down all the words you come up with together.
Choose 5-10 words from your list for your student to practice spelling. Write each word on a separate piece of paper or index card.
Have your student study each word and practice spelling them out loud.
Once your student feels confident, quiz them on the spelling of the words. You can say each word out loud and have them write it down.
If your student is interested, you can also use a computer or tablet to play online spelling games related to rocks. This can be a fun way to reinforce spelling skills.
