Activities
- Introduce the Minecraft-themed storybook to the student.
- Read the story aloud to the student.
- Discuss the story elements.
- Ask comprehension questions.
- Have the student create their own Minecraft-themed story.
Show the student the cover of the storybook and ask them to make predictions about what the story might be about based on the title and the cover illustration.
Read the story to the student, emphasizing expression and fluency. Encourage the student to follow along with their finger as you read.
Engage the student in a conversation about the characters, setting, and plot of the story. Ask questions such as "Who are the main characters in the story?", "Where does the story take place?", and "What happens in the story?".
Ask the student questions about the story to assess their understanding. For example, "Why did the main character decide to explore the cave?", "What did the main character find inside the cave?", and "How did the story end?". Encourage the student to provide detailed answers using evidence from the text.
Provide the student with paper and pencil and ask them to write or draw their own Minecraft-themed story. Encourage creativity and imagination.
