The Reveal: Introduce the Nigerian Dwarf Goat! Explain that these are not just "baby goats," but a specific breed of miniature dairy goat from West Africa. They are famous for being small, colorful, and very smart.

Teacher/Parent presents the "Big Three" facts about Nigerian Dwarfs:

• Size: Most are only 17 to 23 inches tall. That’s about the same height as a medium-sized dog like a Beagle!
• Milk: Even though they are tiny, they can give up to two quarts of milk a day. Their milk has more "butterfat" than regular cow milk, making it taste like melted ice cream or sweet cream.
• Eyes: Look at their pupils! They are rectangular. This helps them see almost all the way around their bodies to watch for predators.

We Do: The "Goat Measure-Up" (10 Minutes)

2. Shelter: A place to stay dry (goats hate getting wet).
