Objective

Materials and Prep
- Toy cars
- Flashcards with pictures of cars
- Whiteboard or paper
- Markers or crayons
- Optional: Spanish-English picture dictionary
Activities
- Introduce the topic by showing the toddler different toy cars and saying their names in English. Encourage the toddler to repeat after you.
- Show the flashcards with pictures of cars and ask the toddler to identify them in English. Repeat the names in Spanish and have the toddler repeat after you.
- Draw a simple road on the whiteboard or paper. Place the toy cars on the road and ask the toddler to point to specific cars as you say their names in Spanish.
- Play a game of "Simon Says" using car-related actions and words in Spanish. For example, "Simon says 'mover el coche' (move the car)" or "Simon says 'parar el coche' (stop the car)".
- Review the names of the cars in Spanish using the flashcards. Encourage the toddler to say the words out loud.
