Materials and Prep

No prior knowledge or preparation is required for this lesson.

Activities

1. Create a Minecraft Word Search:

   • Think of at least 10 Minecraft-related words.
   • Write them in a grid, horizontally, vertically, or diagonally.
   • Fill the remaining spaces with random letters.
   • Give the word search to your student and have them find the words.

2. Spelling Challenge:

   • Choose five Minecraft-related words.
   • Call out each word and have your student spell it out loud.
   • Provide feedback and correct any mistakes.
   • Repeat the challenge until your student can spell all the words correctly.

3. Create Minecraft Flashcards:

   • Write down different Minecraft-related words on separate cards.
   • Show each flashcard to your student and have them spell the word.
   • If they spell it correctly, move on to the next word. If not, provide the correct spelling and repeat the word later.
   • Continue until all the flashcards have been used.
