Point out that the denominator stays the same when the whole is divided into the same number of parts. The numerator changes according to how many parts are selected.

4. Compare Fractions with the Same Denominator
Explain that when fractions have the same denominator, compare their numerators. The fraction with the greater numerator represents more parts.
Example:
3/8 > 2/8 because 3 parts are more than 2 parts when the parts are the same size.
