Activities
- Brainstorming: Start by discussing with your student what they know about skateboarding. Ask them to share any words or ideas that come to mind. Write down their responses on a piece of paper.
- Descriptive Writing: Using the words and ideas from the brainstorming session, guide your student in writing a short paragraph about skateboarding. Encourage them to use descriptive language to paint a picture in the reader's mind.
- Illustration: After writing the paragraph, have your student draw a picture to go along with it. This will help them visualize their ideas and make a connection between words and images.
- Sharing and Feedback: Have your student read their paragraph out loud and show their illustration to you or another family member. Provide positive feedback and ask questions to encourage further thinking and creativity.
