Objective

Materials and Prep
- A computer or tablet with internet access
- A Minecraft-themed short story (can be found online or created by the teacher)
Activities

Start by discussing Minecraft with the student to gauge their prior knowledge and interest. Ask questions such as:
- What do you like about Minecraft?
- What are some things you can do in Minecraft?

Introduce the short story related to Minecraft. Read it aloud to the student or have them read it independently if they are able to.

After reading the story, ask the student comprehension questions to check their understanding. For example:
- Who were the main characters in the story?
- What was the problem in the story?
- How was the problem solved?

Encourage the student to retell the story in their own words. This can be done orally or through drawing pictures.

Have the student write a short paragraph about their favorite part of the story. Encourage them to use descriptive words and complete sentences.
