Objective

By the end of this lesson, you will be able to understand the concept of geography and its relation to the Oculus Meta 2.

Materials and Prep

  • Oculus Meta 2 (or access to a computer with internet connection)
  • Pen and paper

Before starting the lesson, make sure you have a basic understanding of what virtual reality is and how it works.

Activities

  1. Research: Use the Oculus Meta 2 or a computer with internet access to research different virtual reality experiences related to geography. Take notes on the different places you can virtually visit using this technology.
  2. Virtual Field Trip: Choose one location from your research and use the Oculus Meta 2 to take a virtual field trip to that place. Pay attention to the geographical features, landmarks, and cultural aspects of the location.
  3. Reflection: Write a short paragraph describing your virtual field trip experience. Include details about the geography of the place you visited and how it compared to what you learned in your research.
