Objective

By the end of this lesson, the student will be able to identify and describe characters from the Paw Patrol pups series, and practice reading skills through engaging activities.

Materials and Prep

  • Paw Patrol books or printed images of Paw Patrol pups
  • Writing materials (pencils, crayons, markers)
  • Scissors
  • Glue

Prior knowledge of the Paw Patrol pups characters and their names would be beneficial for this lesson.

Activities

  1. Introduce the Paw Patrol pups: Show the student pictures or books featuring the Paw Patrol pups. Ask the student to name each pup and briefly describe their characteristics or roles.
  2. Character Collage: Provide the student with printed images of the Paw Patrol pups. Instruct them to cut out the pictures and glue them onto a piece of paper. Encourage the student to write the name of each pup next to their picture.
  3. Reading Practice: Select a Paw Patrol book suitable for the student's reading level. Read the book together, taking turns to read aloud. Encourage the student to point to the words as they read and ask them comprehension questions about the story afterwards.
  4. Paw Patrol Pup Story: Ask the student to create their own story featuring the Paw Patrol pups. Provide them with a blank paper or a writing template with spaces for illustrations and text. Assist the student in writing their story, encouraging them to use their imagination and include different Paw Patrol pups in their narrative.
