Activities

  1. Read Minecraft-related passages:

    • Encourage the student to ask questions and make predictions about the text.
  2. Create a Minecraft story:

    • Ask the student to imagine a unique Minecraft adventure.
    • Have them plan and outline their story, including characters, setting, and plot.
    • Encourage them to incorporate descriptive language and vivid details.
    • Allow time for the student to write or type their Minecraft story.
  3. Apply reading comprehension strategies while playing Minecraft:

    • Select a Minecraft-related task or challenge for the student to complete.
    • Ask the student to read and follow instructions or clues within the game.
    • Encourage them to use reading comprehension strategies, such as making connections and visualizing, to enhance their gameplay.
    • Discuss any challenges or interesting discoveries they encountered during the activity.
