Materials and Prep

- Zoo animal flashcards or pictures (can be printed or drawn)
- Zoo-themed storybook
Activities
- Introduction: Begin by showing the student the zoo animal flashcards or pictures. Ask them to name each animal and talk about what they know about them.
- Animal Drawing: Provide the student with paper and crayons. Ask them to choose their favorite animal from the flashcards or pictures and draw it. Encourage them to add details and colors.
- Story Time: Read a zoo-themed storybook to the student. Pause at different points to ask questions and engage them in conversation about the animals and their characteristics.
- Animal Facts: Using the flashcards or pictures again, go through each animal and share interesting facts about them. Encourage the student to ask questions and express their curiosity.
- Review and Recap: Have a quick review session where the student can name the animals again and share one thing they learned about each animal.
