- What do cars do?
- Have you ever been in a car?
-
Introduce a simple sentence about cars, such as "Cars can drive fast."
- Write the sentence on a piece of paper and have your child read it aloud.
- Encourage your child to trace the words and color the sentence.
-
Show your child pictures or toy cars and ask them to describe what they see using the sentence they just read.
- For example, if they see a picture of a race car, they can say, "This car can drive fast."
-
Repeat steps 2 and 3 with additional simple sentences about cars, such as:
- "Cars have wheels."
- "Cars can take us places."
