Transitional-Kindergarten Grade Talking Points

  • "Being a boy means you are a male. Boys and girls can do many of the same things, but sometimes they have different interests or ways of doing things."
  • "In the story we read, we saw a boy who had fun playing sports with his friends. Some boys really enjoy being active and playing sports, while others may prefer different activities."
  • "Boys can have different feelings, just like girls. It's important to understand and express our emotions, whether we feel happy, sad, excited, or angry."
  • "Being a boy is a part of who you are, but it doesn't define everything about you. You have many other interests and qualities that make you unique."
  • "It's important to respect and accept others, whether they are boys or girls. We should celebrate our differences and treat everyone with kindness and fairness."
