Activities

  1. Introduction to Field Archery

    Begin by explaining what field archery is and its relevance as a physical activity. Discuss the different types of archery, focusing on field archery and its unique characteristics.

  2. Equipment and Safety

    Go over the necessary equipment for field archery, including the bow, arrows, target, and safety gear. Emphasize the importance of proper handling and safe practices when using archery equipment.

  3. Stance and Posture

    Teach the correct stance and posture for shooting a bow. Demonstrate the proper body alignment, grip, and positioning. Have the student practice maintaining the correct stance and posture.

  4. Aiming and Shooting

    Explain the process of aiming and shooting an arrow. Discuss the different parts of the target and how to aim for each section. Demonstrate the proper technique for drawing the bowstring and releasing the arrow. Allow the student to practice shooting arrows at the target.

  5. Target Games

    Create fun target games to engage the student in practicing their archery skills. For example, set up different targets with varying point values and have the student aim for specific areas to earn points. Keep track of scores and encourage friendly competition.
