Activities

Read a Minecraft or Lego-themed book together:
- Choose a book that combines the student's interest in Minecraft or Legos with a reading level appropriate for first grade.
- Take turns reading aloud, allowing the student to practice their reading skills.
- Discuss the story, characters, and any new vocabulary encountered.

Create a Minecraft or Lego story:
- Provide the student with paper and pencils.
- Encourage them to write and illustrate their own Minecraft or Lego-themed story.
- Assist with spelling and sentence structure as needed.
- Once completed, have the student read their story aloud to you.

Build with Legos and describe the creations:
- Allow the student to freely build with Legos.
- Ask the student to describe their creations using descriptive language.
- Encourage them to explain what they built, how it functions, and any unique features.
- Take turns describing and guessing each other's creations.
