Materials and Prep

  • Volcano picture book
  • Whiteboard or large paper
  • Markers or crayons
  • Printed volcano coloring pages

Activities

  1. Read the volcano picture book together. Discuss the pictures and talk about what a volcano is.
  2. Draw a large volcano on the whiteboard or paper. Label the different parts of the volcano, such as the crater, lava, and ash.
  3. Color the printed volcano coloring pages. Talk about the colors used and the different shapes and sizes of volcanoes.
