Objective

Materials and Prep
- Paper
- Crayons or colored pencils
- Scissors
- Glue
- Printed pictures of different plants
Before starting the lesson, make sure the student knows basic colors and how to use scissors and glue.
Activities
- Start by showing the student the printed pictures of different plants. Discuss the various shapes, sizes, and colors of the plants.
- Ask the student to choose one plant picture and cut it out carefully.
- Using the crayons or colored pencils, have the student color the plant picture.
- Help the student identify and label the different parts of the plant, such as the stem, leaves, flowers, and roots.
- Guide the student to glue the labeled plant picture onto a piece of paper.
- Encourage the student to draw and color a background for the plant, such as soil, sunshine, or other plants.
- Discuss the importance of plants in our lives, such as providing oxygen, food, and shelter for animals.
