Objective
The objective of this lesson is to improve reading comprehension and critical thinking skills by using Minecraft as a context for reading and discussion.
Materials and Prep

- A Minecraft-themed book or story
- Pen and paper for note-taking

Have the student read a Minecraft-themed book or story of their choice. After reading, ask them to write a book review, including a summary of the plot, their favorite character, and their overall opinion of the book.
Ask the student to identify at least five new vocabulary words they encountered while reading the Minecraft book. Have them write down the words and their definitions, and then create sentences using each word correctly.
Prepare a list of discussion questions related to the Minecraft book. Encourage the student to think critically and express their opinions. Some sample questions could include:
