Objective

By the end of this lesson, you will be able to develop a written plan for starting your own business, including identifying your target market, creating a product or service, and outlining a marketing strategy.

Activities

  1. Brainstorming: Spend 10 minutes brainstorming different business ideas that interest you. Write down as many ideas as you can think of.

  2. Target Market Analysis: Choose one of your business ideas and identify your target market. Who would be interested in your product or service? Write a paragraph describing your target market.

  3. Product or Service Development: Based on your chosen business idea and target market, develop a product or service that meets their needs or desires. Write a brief description of your product or service.

  4. Marketing Strategy: Outline a marketing strategy for your business. How will you promote your product or service to your target market? Write a paragraph describing your marketing strategy.

  5. Written Plan: Using the information you have gathered, create a written plan for starting your own business. Include sections for target market analysis, product or service development, and marketing strategy. Use headings, subheadings, and bullet points to organize your plan.
