Objective

By the end of this lesson, the student will be able to identify and locate different countries known for their horse breeds on a world map.

Activities

  1. Research horse breeds: Encourage the student to research different horse breeds from around the world. They can use books or the internet to gather information about the characteristics and origins of each breed.

  2. Locate horse breed countries: Using a world map or globe, have the student locate and mark the countries where the researched horse breeds originated. They can use a pencil or marker to mark the countries on the map.

  3. Create a horse breed showcase: Ask the student to create a visual display showcasing their favorite horse breeds. They can include pictures, facts, and interesting information about each breed. This can be done using a poster board or a digital presentation.

  4. Present the showcase: Have the student present their horse breed showcase to the family or a small group. They should explain the characteristics and origins of each breed, as well as why they find them interesting.
