- Ask the student to imagine a scenario where someone steals a toy from a friend. Discuss the consequences of such action and how it can make the friend feel sad or upset.
- Explain that jail is a place where people who break rules that are more serious are sent to reflect on their actions and to keep others safe.
- Engage the student in a pretend play activity where they can be a police officer and explain to their toys or stuffed animals why breaking rules is not acceptable.
