Objective

By the end of this lesson, you will be able to explore the world of language arts and reading through the lens of your interest in Fortnite.

Materials and Prep

  • Computer or tablet with internet access
  • Pen or pencil
  • Blank paper or notebook

Prior knowledge or experience with Fortnite is helpful but not required.

Activities

  1. Fortnite Vocabulary Hunt: Use your computer or tablet to search for words related to Fortnite. Write down at least 10 words you find and their definitions. Create flashcards for each word and definition to help you remember them.
  2. Fortnite Story Writing: Imagine you are a character in the Fortnite world. Write a short story (minimum 1 page) about your adventures and battles. Be sure to include descriptive details, dialogue, and a clear beginning, middle, and end.
  3. Fortnite Book Review: Choose a book that you have read recently and enjoyed. Write a book review as if you were a Fortnite character recommending it to your fellow players. Include a summary of the book, your favorite parts, and why you think other Fortnite fans would enjoy it.
