Activities
- Introduce the concept of spelling by explaining that it is the process of writing words correctly.
- Show the student a Pokemon card or picture and ask them to identify the Pokemon's name. Write it on the paper.
- Break down the Pokemon name into individual sounds or syllables. For example, if the Pokemon is Pikachu, break it down into "pi-ka-chu".
- Ask the student to sound out each sound or syllable and write them down on the paper.
- Combine the sounds or syllables to form the complete Pokemon name. Have the student write it down.
- Repeat the process with different Pokemon names, gradually increasing the complexity.
- Review the Pokemon names and spellings together at the end of the lesson.
