Objective

By the end of this lesson, you will be able to understand and apply basic arithmetic concepts through fun PJ Masks-themed activities.

Materials and Prep

  • Printed PJ Masks coloring sheets
  • Coloring utensils
  • PJ Masks-themed manipulatives (e.g., small PJ Masks toys or cutouts)
  • Number flashcards (0-10)

Activities

  1. PJ Masks Addition: Give your student a set of PJ Masks-themed manipulatives and ask them to pick two characters. Have them count how many characters they have in total and write down the corresponding addition equation (e.g., Catboy + Owlette = 2 + 1 = 3).

  2. PJ Masks Coloring by Numbers: Provide your student with a PJ Masks coloring sheet that has numbers assigned to different areas. Instruct them to color each area according to the corresponding number on the sheet, reinforcing number recognition and counting skills.

  3. PJ Masks Number Hunt: Scatter the number flashcards around the room. Ask your student to search for the flashcards and identify the numbers on them. Encourage them to count the corresponding number of PJ Masks manipulatives and place them next to each flashcard.
