Objective

By the end of this lesson, you will be able to understand the importance of taking care of the environment and how it relates to the world of PJ Masks.

Materials and Prep

  • Toy figures of PJ Masks characters (Catboy, Owlette, Gekko)
  • Recyclable materials (paper, plastic bottles, cardboard)
  • Coloring materials (crayons, markers)
  • Chart paper or whiteboard

Before the lesson, familiarize yourself with the characters and storyline of PJ Masks.

Activities

  1. Introduction: Show the PJ Masks toy figures to the student and ask if they recognize them. Explain that today, we will be learning about how PJ Masks can help protect the environment.
  2. Recycling Sort: Collect different recyclable materials and place them in a pile. Ask the student to sort the items into categories of paper, plastic, and cardboard. Discuss why it is important to recycle and how it helps the environment.
  3. Coloring Activity: Provide the student with coloring materials and PJ Masks coloring pages. Encourage them to color the characters while discussing ways they can take care of the environment in their everyday lives.
  4. Storytime: Read a PJ Masks book that focuses on protecting the environment. Pause throughout the story to ask questions and engage the student in conversation about the themes of the book.
