Activities
- Read Bug-themed Books: Start by reading bug-themed books together. Encourage the student to point out and identify bug-related words in the story.
- Bug Word Flashcards: Show the student flashcards with bug-related words. Practice reading and pronouncing each word together. Play a game where you hold up a flashcard and the student has to say the word as quickly as possible.
- Draw and Label Bugs: Provide the student with paper and crayons. Ask them to draw their favorite bug and label it with the correct word. Help them sound out the word if needed.
- Bug Facts: Share interesting facts about bugs with the student. For example, "Did you know that ants can lift objects that are much heavier than themselves?" Encourage the student to ask questions and engage in a conversation about bugs.
