  • Paper or whiteboard
  • Crayons, markers, or pencils
  • Optional: Bluey and Bingo figures or pictures
  • Optional: Letter 'B' flashcards (uppercase B, lowercase b)

Lesson Time! Hooray! (Approx. 20-30 minutes)

Warm-up: Bluey Wiggle Time! (5 mins)

Let's get our wiggles out like Bluey and Bingo! Play the Bluey theme song or another fun song from the show. Dance around! Afterwards, let's talk about our favorite Bluey characters. Who starts with the 'B' sound? That's right! Bluey! And Bingo!

Activity 1: The Amazing Letter 'B'! (10 mins)

Today we're learning about a very special letter, the letter 'B'! It's the first letter in Bluey AND Bingo! Look, here it is: B (show uppercase). And here's the little one: b (show lowercase).

Let's practice saying the 'B' sound: /b/ /b/ /b/... like a bouncing ball!

Can you trace the big 'B' with your finger? How about the little 'b'? Now, let's try writing it on our paper/whiteboard. We can make big blue B's for Bluey and bouncy brown b's for Bingo!

Can we think of other things that start with the /b/ sound? Ball? Bubbles? Banana?

Activity 2: Bluey Story Time & Chat (10 mins)

Let's read a Bluey book together or watch a very short clip (choose a simple one!). Pay close attention to what Bluey and Bingo are doing.

(Read story or watch clip)

That was fun! Can you tell me one thing that happened in the story? What game did they play? Who did they meet? Just tell me one little part you remember!

Wrap-up: Bluey Drawing Fun! (5 mins)

Let's draw a picture! You can draw Bluey or Bingo, something from the story we read, or maybe something that starts with the letter 'B'! Tell me about your picture when you're done.

Great job today! You learned all about the letter 'B' and talked about a Bluey story. High five!
