Let's Draw and Write with Bluey! (Magic Claw!)

Hello Little Learner! Today, we're going to have some fun drawing and maybe even doing a little bit of writing, just like Bluey and Bingo love to play!

Warm-up Chat (Like Bandit and Chilli Talk!):

  • Who is your favorite character in Bluey? (Bluey, Bingo, Bandit, Chilli, Muffin, Socks?)
  • What's a really fun game they play? (Maybe Keepy Uppy, Magic Claw, or Shadowlands?)
  • Let's pretend we are playing Magic Claw! What prize would you want the Magic Claw to grab?

Drawing Time (Heeler Family Art):

  1. Let's draw something from Bluey! You can draw:
    • Your favorite character (Bluey is blue, Bingo is reddish-orange!)
    • A fun game they play.
    • The prize you wanted from the Magic Claw!
  2. Think about the shapes you see. Can you draw a circle like Bluey's head? Can you draw lines for her arms and legs? Try making different lines - zig-zags like when they run fast, or wavy lines like water if they are playing at the beach!
  3. Use lots of fun colors! What color is Bluey? What color is Bingo?

Pre-Writing Fun (Letter Explorers):

  • Let's look at the name 'Bluey'. It starts with a 'B'! Can you try to draw a big line down, and then two bumps? That's a 'B'! Let's practice drawing some 'B's on your paper, or maybe on a different piece of paper.
  • What sound does 'B' make? Buh-buh-Bluey!
  • You don't have to make it perfect, just trying is super fun!

Story Time (Tell Me About It!):

  • Wow! Look at your amazing picture! Can you tell me all about it?
  • What is happening in your drawing?
  • Who is in your drawing?
  • Where are they?

Great job today! You used your crayon like a drawing tool and maybe even tried writing a letter, just like a big kid! Hooray!
