Materials and Prep

Before starting the lesson, make sure you have read the storybook beforehand and are familiar with its characters and events.
Activities
- Read the story aloud: Choose a storybook that interests you and your child. Read the story aloud, using expressive voices and gestures to bring the characters to life.
- Discuss the characters: After reading the story, ask your child to identify the main characters. Discuss their traits, appearance, and role in the story.
- Create character drawings: Give your child paper and crayons, and ask them to draw the main characters from the story. Encourage them to be creative and use their imagination.
- Retell the story: Ask your child to retell the story in their own words. Prompt them with questions about the beginning, middle, and end of the story.
