Activities

1. Warm-up: Sports Word Scramble

   Unscramble the letters to form the correct sports-related words. Write the words neatly on your paper.

2. Game: Sports Spelling Bee

   One person starts by saying a sports-related word out loud. The next person has to spell it correctly. If they spell it correctly, they get a point. If they spell it incorrectly, they are out for that round. Keep playing until there is a winner.

3. Writing: Sports Sentences

   Choose three sports-related words from the spelling bee game and use them in sentences. Make sure to spell the words correctly in your sentences.

• "Today, we are going to have fun while learning how to spell sports-related words."
• "In our warm-up activity, we will unscramble letters to form words. Can you unscramble the letters to spell the correct sports words?"
• "For our game, we will have a spelling bee. I will say a word, and you will have to spell it correctly. If you spell it right, you get a point."
• "Lastly, we will practice using the sports words we learned in sentences. Can you think of a sentence using one of the words from the game?"
