Materials and Prep

No prior knowledge or preparation is required for this lesson.

Activities

1. Brainstorming:

   Think about your favorite Minecraft adventure or creation. What do you like about it? What characters or creatures are involved? What challenges do you face? Write down your ideas.

2. Planning:

   Choose one of your brainstormed ideas and create a simple story plan. Divide your paper into three sections: beginning, middle, and end. Write or draw what happens in each part of your story.

3. Writing:

   Using your story plan, start writing your Minecraft-inspired story. Begin with an interesting opening sentence and continue to develop your story by including details and events from your plan. Remember to use capital letters, punctuation, and descriptive words.

4. Illustrating:

   After you finish writing your story, create illustrations to go along with it. Use colors and details to bring your Minecraft adventure to life.

5. Sharing:

   Read your story aloud to someone in your family or share it with a friend. Discuss what you enjoyed most about writing your Minecraft-inspired story.
