Activities

  1. Start by discussing the student's interest in mummies. Ask what they already know about mummies and share some basic information if needed.
  2. Introduce the concept of ancient civilizations and explain that mummies were a part of some of these civilizations.
  3. Ask the student to draw a picture of a mummy and write a short description about it. Encourage them to be creative and use their imagination.
  4. If internet access is available, search for images of real mummies together. Discuss the different types of mummies from various ancient civilizations.
  5. Ask the student to imagine they are an archaeologist discovering a mummy. Have them write a short story or create a comic strip describing the discovery and what they learn about the ancient civilization.
