Materials and Prep
- White construction paper
- Markers or crayons
- Scissors
- Glue stick
- Optional: googly eyes
Prior to the lesson, familiarize yourself with the concept of mummies and their historical context. You can find age-appropriate resources online or at your local library.
Activities
- Draw and cut out a mummy shape from the white construction paper.
- Color the mummy using markers or crayons. Feel free to get creative with different patterns and colors!
- Using the glue stick, carefully glue the mummy onto a separate sheet of construction paper.
- Add googly eyes or draw eyes directly on the mummy's face.
- Optional: Cut thin strips of white paper to create bandages for the mummy. Glue them onto the mummy's body, leaving some gaps to show the colored mummy underneath.
- Display your finished mummy craft proudly!
