Activities

  1. Go to a nearby creek or stream with your parent or guardian.
  2. Find a comfortable spot near the water and sit quietly.
  3. Observe the minnows swimming in the creek. Pay attention to their colors, shapes, and movements.
  4. Use your notebook or sketchbook to draw or write about what you see. You can create a mini field journal!
  5. Discuss your observations with your parent or guardian. What did you find interesting about the minnows?
  6. Share your drawings or writings with your family or friends.
