Activities

  1. Exploring Different Types of Soil

    Take the toddler to different areas of the backyard and help them dig small holes. Encourage them to touch and feel the soil, describing its texture and color. Use the magnifying glass to examine any interesting findings like rocks or worms.

  2. Observing Plants and Insects

    Walk around the backyard with the toddler and point out different plants and insects. Encourage them to observe the plants' colors, shapes, and sizes. Discuss the importance of plants for the environment and how insects help in pollination.

  3. Watering Plants

    Show the toddler how to use a watering can or spray bottle to water the plants in the backyard. Explain the importance of water for plants to grow and stay healthy. Let the toddler participate in watering the plants.

  4. Collecting and Observing Nature Objects

    Provide the toddler with plastic containers or jars and encourage them to collect interesting objects from nature, such as leaves, flowers, or small rocks. Help them observe these objects closely using the magnifying glass and discuss their findings.
